Process Writing consists of the following:
 
Freewriting. It means writing sentences continuously without stop. The student writes down whatever ideas, words or sentences that come to his/her mind. A time limit is usually given.
 
Brainstorming.  This means writing words or phrases that pertain to the given topic.
 
Example:     Topic -  Schooling

Clustering - This pertains to the grouping together of the words in brainstorming.

skills  :    reading    writing   composition making    summarizing   listening  recitation
 
Composition Making - This is making sentences that will comprise the paragraphs.
 
Revision -  After making the paragraphs, the student will check his work for better organization and errors.(subject-verb agreement, punctuation, hanging modifiers etc.)
 
There can be 2 or more revisions depending on the work afterwhich the final copy is then submitted.

Assignment
 
Make a 3 paragraph composition entitled "My Pet" following the process writing approach of brainstorming, clustering, composition making, revision and submission of the final draft.
